Integrating laboratory tests for deep phenotyping and biomarker discovery

A recent paper by Monarch team members describes an approach that maps clinical lab test data from Electronic Health Records to the Human Phenotype Ontology in the LOINC2HPO project. The result of the mapping is detailed patient phenotypic profiles that can be used for biomarker screens. Read the paper here, or the blog post here.
